Wireless Hill Reserve, Ardross. W.A.

Wireless Hill Reserve, McCallum Crescent, Ardross, about 14 km from Perth City. A quiet place in suburbia, that has a simple play area for the children, a BBQ and easy to walk trails. The wildflower trail in Spring is truly beautiful. The vibrant colours of the wildflowers will make you gasp during the Spring season. This trail has been setup very well as along the track are plaques with the wildflowers names, what they could be used for, etc. The other trails also have plaques explaining about the Aboriginal history.

There is a museum which explains what this hill was used for; a wireless transmitting station during WWII, and there is information about the Aboriginal history.

The view of Perth City and the Swan River is also worth seeing as driving there it didn’t seem that there was a climb. A place definitely worth visiting.
