Walk the Kitty’s Gorge walk at Serpentine National Park, Western Australia

Kitty’s Gorge walk at Serpentine National Park, is a beautiful walk with some amazing scenery. There were so many waterfalls along the walk and all were interesting. There was an abundance of bird life as well as the beautiful flora the day I walked.

I commenced my walk from the Serpentine waterfalls and walked to Jarrahdale Cemetary which is in Atkins St. It is approximately a 16.5 kms return trip and has a few gradual climbs. (or about 18kms to the Jarrahdale hotel for lunch!!) They say the vertical climb is 459m in total. I was glad I took my walking pole as it was wet and rocky and crossing the water and mud stopped me from slipping over.

I took my Canon Powershot GX5 with a 16gb memory card but it wasn’t enough. There were so many beautiful places I wanted to just keep on snapping every scene I saw. I should have taken a second card!! Reluctantly I had to return but I will definitely be going back as this is truly an amazing scenic walk.
